Social Media: How To Get Started

If you are thinking about incorporating Social Media into your marketing mix, you have to first realize one thing. Social Media takes dedication, it takes time, and sometimes it may seem difficult, but all successful Social Media Campaigns take months if not years to develop. Social Media can be overwhelming, trust me I’m on almost every Social Media site there is. Personally, I only use three channels heavily.

When you decide you are ready to incorporate Social Media into your marketing mix, you should only choose on one Social Media Channel. I suggest Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google+. If you are trying to reach a large audience of consumers, I would suggest Twitter. If your goal is to communicate with other business professionals, you may want to use LinkedIn. If you are more visual and want to post more photos and videos, I would suggest Facebook. Lastly, if you want to increase your SEO for your website, Google+ is the way to go.
